Made it to the ripe old age of 51. Last year I had a real problem with turning 50, but now it's ok. I've made peace with the fact that I'm no longer "young". I know that is not the truth really, but it means going beyond the idea of numbers and years and just enjoying things as they are.
I still have the same feelings of excitement about life, I haven't turned into a moaning minnie yet.
Could have this morning though, had a flat battery in my car. I was just about to take everyone out for a birthday lunch, when suddenly, we are going nowhere. So out comes the AA and the mechanic says the battery is finished, a new one is needed. £84 is paid out, I have a new battery, all charged up and ready to go....symbolic or what?
