Lighter days

The light is so bright now and expansive, shining into those dark corners, areas forgotten during the winter and now revealed to be dusty, shabby in need of a clean. It's been a long winter, not much of a spring until today really, today is when everything seemed to be right with the world. Windows open, breezes through the house, there was a sense of urgency to get cleaning and polishing. Also got out into the garden, trimmed the box hedge, gingerly because of the birds nesting in there. Got stalked by a rat, it shot out from under the hedge and spent most of the time sulking around my feet. My mother says it's a wood rat, and there appears to be a nest of them at the bottom of the garden. Other people have fairies and we have rats!
Now I am making plans for my imminent trip to France, hoping to leave in the next two weeks. It always takes a lot of work this shift from one house to another, I would like to make a permanent move soon so I have given myself a deadline of August to make that decision.
Yes, this is a good time to lighten the load, eat lighter, lighten up, move on.

Very nice itinerary. A friend of mine had me, In my minds eye, at the Louvre yesterday.
but alas I'm still right here right now, and they? Well the load can always shift while in mid-flight. Tea anyone?
